Security SkateS MISSION STATEMENT
THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
At Security Skates, it is our primary objective to enrich the experience and culture of skateboarding through skate park advocacy and philanthropy. We do this by:
- Organizing volunteer community clean ups at public skate parks
- Partnering with Park Recreation Centers to provide skate lessons for youths
- Empowering skateboarders though giveaways, resources and community service
- Encouraging and motivating positive skate park community interactions
THE WATTS SERENITY PARK COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT
All throughout 2026, Security Skates will be hosting volunteer community cleanups at Monitor Skate Park and the surrounding Watts Serenity Park! Happening on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month from 2pm to 5pm, we will work towards turning this hidden gem of a park into the community hub it has the potential to be!
EL SERENO SKATE PARK SKATEBOARDING
Security Skates is HYPED to team up with the El Sereno Recreation Complex and Nickel & Dime Skate Shop to provide SKATEBOARDING and INLINE CLASSES all year long to youths enrolled in the PLAYLA program! Open to all youths during breaks between the PLAYLA sessions! Contact the Recreation Center or Securito enroll today!

Founded in 2016, Security Skates Productions started as a simple skateboarding media production company by a skateboarder who envisioned a security based skateboarding company after working in the security industry for 3+ years.. Through visiting skate parks throughout Southern California and producing videos of skateboarding for social media, the love of skateboarding and skate parks was a prime motivator for continuing the vision. Within months of starting, Security Skates began hosting small skateboarding contest and skate meets in the Southeast Los Angeles County area and in 2019 continued into the High Desert Area. After three years of event and party planning in the cities of Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley, and Adelanto; Security Skates has returned to the Los Angeles area for 2023 to host skate meets at skate parks throughout L.A.!

Through utilizing access to free cleanup tools through the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works Department of Community Beautification, volunteer community skate park clean up are organized and executed at skate parks in the greater Los Angeles area. These cleanups are geared towards making a positive impact on the skate culture at public skate parks and the surrounding neighborhoods. Raffles and giveaways are held for for all volunteers who participate in the cleanup and an information workshop on how to organize a community are offered to all who are interested in doing so.
